Organisations offering training for auditors
Training Courses
In the light of the specialist needs of the pharmaceutical industry, the Pharmaceutical Quality Group, in conjunction with a number of training organisations has developed a modified Lead Auditor Training Course. This course focuses on auditing to the ISO 9001 standard and the PQG’s Application Standards for suppliers to the pharmaceutical industry. This started with PS 9000 for packaging materials and PS 9100 for excipients, but was then extended to include the additional requirements of ISO 15378 and it can also be applied to other standards.
These courses are recognised by both IRCA – the International Register of Certificated Auditors (part of the Chartered Quality Institute) and the PQG. They detail the regulatory background of medicinal product manufacture as well as explaining the philosophy and content of PS 9000, IPEC/PQG Excipients GMPs and ISO 15378.
Requirements for Training Organisations
Training Organisations looking to offer training for PS 9000 series auditors need to meet the requirements of IRCA 2235. They will be independantly audited and certified as satisfactory to provide this training course by IRCA.
