An opportunity for you to help with the development of PS 9000 pharmaceutical packaging materials (May 2009)

The Partners steering committee have now developed an outline plan for a new international standard & guide, and obtained agreement for collaboration with a key partner organisation.

We have scheduled an initial planning meeting on 11th May, at PAGB in central London, and now call for volunteers to attend this meeting to initiate the project and help start develop the new PS 9000. This meeting is free of charge, includes lunch, and is open to a limited number of volunteers. Further details on location and agenda will sent with confirmation.

There will be potential for participation at different levels of activity during the project (for example leading sub teams for a topic, contribution to writing text, reviewing draft documents etc). Naturally we are particularly interested to hear from volunteers with specialist knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical packaging industry, but this is also an opportunity to offer general skills and gain an insight into the latest in pharmaceutical packaging standards from the experts involved.

Although the date for volunteering has passed and the project is underway, if you would like to get involved, please contact Steve Moss
indicating your willingness to contribute.

Third meeting - 11th May 2009

Development of PS 9000:2010.

An initial project meeting was held in London on 11th May to plan for a significant development of PS 9000. The target is to expand and bring the document up to date as a new standard and guide for pharmaceutical packaging materials, PS 9000:2010, for launch towards the end of 2010. Volunteer experts representing suppliers, user companies and consultants agreed on initial task groups to start the development process. Pharmaceutical quality consultant Norman Sadler has agreed to lead the project and would welcome any further volunteers to join the development team.

For details contact Norman Sadler.
