On January 27th, The Pharmaceutical Quality Group (PQG) delivered an insightful and interactive session for trainee Qualified Persons, focusing on Annex 16 and the challenges of managing complex supply chains. The event was led by industry professional Jenny Birkin, who shared her expertise on navigating the responsibilities and duties of a QP in scenarios involving multi-node supply chains and diverse drug product formulations.
Following the main presentation, participants were divided into eight virtual groups to tackle Viva-style questions designed to simulate real-life scenarios. These exercises allowed attendees to sharpen their problem-solving abilities, exchange professional insights, collaboratively discuss solutions, and refine their communication skills.
The PQG committee expressed their gratitude to Jenny Birkin for her exceptional work in simplifying the complexities of Annex 16 and to the attendees for their enthusiastic participation and valuable feedback, despite some technology challenges on the day.
The presentation and notes shared from the scenario sessions are now available in the members’ area on the PQG website.
The PQG welcomes members to stay engaged and participate in future events, including the next QP training sessions. Don’t miss the opportunity to enhance your knowledge and network with other professionals. Visit pqg.org/events for more information and registration details.
