Evening Event: Introduction to Autoclave Sterilisation

The event aims to provide a baseline understanding of the purpose, legislation, application, and controls relating to autoclaves for professionals within the pharmaceutical industry.

The evening will commence with introductory education materials from Dark Horse Consulting representatives Stephan Croft (Snr Principal Consultant) and Ian Pardo (Snr Practice Expert – Quality), and will include the following agenda items:-

1. What is an autoclave? Why do we use them & what can go wrong?
2. Annex 1 – Overview (Focus on steam sterilisation)
3. How ‘bugs die’ – Steam lethality
4. The ‘autoclave cycle’
5. The importance of ‘good load design and control’
6. Autoclave qualification
7. Autoclave tests, indicators, and controls
8. Routine production checks & documentation
9. Meeting close

The cost of the event includes light refreshment of sandwiches (with vegetarian options) and tea/coffee. To facilitate the interactive nature of the meeting the number of delegates will be limited to 30.

A certificate of attendance will be sent by email for your CPD records. Please ensure the company name used for the booking is correct, as this will be used for your certificate.
